Tropical Storm Gives NASCAR Wacky Week

Tropical Storm Gives NASCAR Wacky Week: You can run a NASCAR race your way to two, in practice, may be granted to the President of the United States and must comply with all of the five days?

This week we found.

Tropical Storm Lee has had a busy week for NASCAR teams and officials nightmare Sunday, knocking Atlanta Motor Speedway, with rain and delayed on Tuesday, 500 AdvoCare.

Itself is remarkable. NASCAR rarely miss the days when it announced the suspension of the race because of the weather. But Monday's forecast in the Atlanta area calling for almost certain rain and high winds, leading officials to reschedule the race to Tuesday because of safety issues as possible.

Forecast for Tuesday is better but not wonderful. There is the possibility of rain in the morning.

The difficulties of weather are both very busy to NASCAR and its teams. The Atlanta race results and race scheduled for Saturday at Richmond International Raceway will determine the 12 drivers who will compete for the Sprint Cup at the Chase Championships.

Sprint Cup team Haulers are scheduled to check into LAUGH Thursday night. Sprint Cup practice at the track is scheduled to start at 12:10 pm ET Friday, with qualifying set for 5:35 pm ET.

Most of the teams is already drawn up their cars, or completing the task assignments, the Richmond job this week.

Add the accounting process, this week is on Wednesday, the White House scheduled NASCAR event. Many of the drivers and NASCAR officials is scheduled to meet with President Obama, who is the defending world series champion, Jimmie Johnson honoring and other drivers who participated in the Chase for the last year.

If, because of the weather conditions for Tuesday, the date is changed on the basis of race, it is not known whether NASCAR to move the event on Wednesday, the White House scheduled a meeting, and the need to move to Richmond in a very difficult call.

In theory, the race could be scheduled Monday, after Richmond, but there would gum up the timetable for the first week of Chase and Race one at Chicago country Speedway.

"This is one of these offers, that person will win, but it is regrettable, that happens from time to time, said NR ASCA President Mike Helton Sunday evening."
